News from Clivia North: We are grateful to be able to report with a measure of pride that we have been awarded one Gold award, two Silvers and one Bronze in the Clivia Society Virtual show held over the last month. We were also awarded a certificate for the 5th most points won at the show. This show was open to growers from South Africa, New Zealand and Australia, among others, due to the fact that no shows were held in SA due to Covid. Another NZ grower couple, Rex and Dee Williams have also done well.
Clivia North won the Splash category, won second in the Blush and Red categories and third in the Yellow with Green category.

What a great flowering season it has been! Although there is no Clivia Club in New Zealand any more, there is a yahoogroup where former members keep in touch and share photos. There were some good ones.
Clivia North has entered photos in the Clivia Society South Africa virtual show this year, held due to the fact that no shows were held there. We are awaiting the results of the judges and are hoping for the best.
To all those who visited and posted on this page - thanks again. I intend sending an e-mail to the group I intend creating, using all the e-mail addresses supplied on the open day and after.
There were enquiries about on-line sales. Clivia North hope to have a proper website up and running, hopefully with a stunning gallery showing our pride and joy in each category. We also hope to be able to put up some on-line sales next season, so make sure to check this page regularly in early spring!
We also intend planting a hundred or more clivia in the garden every year, so in a few years it should be worth visiting Northland in Sept/Oct just to see that!😏 ... See more
