This is the best-known and most impressive of the species. They flower in spring and have the largest flowers, with a stunning range of colours and variations. Clivia colours have been allocated categories like, besides the gorgeous variations of the native orange and red, also yellow, pink, pastels and peach. Colour combinations led to descriptions like bicolours, picotees, watercolours, ghosts, greenthroats, versicolours and many more.
